The hub Asia Manufacturing Engineering candidate helps to work with Global Industrial Engineering on manufacturing strategies, manufacturing footprint optimization, research and optimise manufacturing requirements, design and develop systems, and establish guidelines and strategies for continuous manufacturing efficiencies and productivity improvement.

The candidate will support plants in overseeing staff operations, monitor their progress and skills assessments to identify skills and competency development. The candidate will coordinate NPI projects, engage with PD, PMM, PQS, and plant teams to achieve project timelines, and meet capital & operational expenditure expectations.

Major Tasks :

  1. Leadership responsibility: Managing, coaching, and empowering the plant Manufacturing Engineering team, developing their skillsets, and identifying priorities to complete tasks and project goals on time. Will work across global regions within a matrix organization.

  2. Explore and evaluate Process Innovation functions to advance the plant's Industry 4.0 journey.

  3. Establish strategic partnerships with machine builders and system integrators to enhance Artificial Intelligence implementation and machine learning capabilities in manufacturing equipment.

Requirements :

  1. Degree in electrical and mechanical engineering; a Master of Business Administration is an advantage.

  2. More than 15 years of relevant experience.

  3. Strong analytical background, project management skills, leadership & communication skills, knowledge of mechanical and electronic component production technologies, electronics industry experience, and experience with Greenfield & Brownfield projects.

  4. Management experience and P&L management skills.

  5. Experience with lean manufacturing, value stream mapping (VSM), plant operations in vertical integration, machining, and assembly operations. Demonstrated leadership and management skills.

  6. Experience with facilities management, including physical infrastructure, maintenance, employee safety, and security.

  7. Preferred experience working in Asia or overseas.
