Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Kids Birthday Party Event Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and tearing down decorations for birthday events, conducting crafting activities, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all party guests. This role requires excellent teamwork, customer service skills, and a knack for engaging with children.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Setup and Teardown:

  2. Assist in decorating the party venue according to the chosen theme.

  3. Ensure all decorations and party essentials are set up prior to guest arrival.

  4. Efficiently dismantle and clean up decorations after the event concludes.

  5. Crafting Activities:

  6. Conduct and oversee crafting activities, ensuring they are age-appropriate and engaging.

  7. Prepare crafting materials and guide children through creative activities.

  8. Ensure all crafting activities are safe and enjoyable for participants.

  9. Guest Interaction:

  10. Greet guests with a friendly demeanor and provide assistance as needed.

  11. Engage with children and adults alike to create a welcoming and fun atmosphere.

  12. Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

  13. Team Collaboration:

  14. Work effectively with other event staff to ensure smooth execution of the event.

  15. Communicate clearly and efficiently with team members to coordinate tasks.

  16. Child Engagement:

  17. Utilise experience working with children to create a fun and safe environment.

  18. Exhibit patience and creativity in engaging with children of various ages.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift and set up decorations and equipment as required.
