Job scope:

  • Reports to the team leader for day-to-day work assignment.
  • To achieve the manufacturing schedule, according to job assigned.
  • Setup and operate lathe machine, complete machining task assigned duly and efficiently.
  • Responsible for quality of the parts produced.
  • Perform self-inspection on finished work-piece.
  • Prepare / arrange raw material, tooling and fixture for next machining process and programs for set-up.
  • Maintain good housekeeping, safety and general machine maintenance.
  • Perform Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) activities such as minor maintenance that includes cleaning, inspection, lubrication etc.
  • Ability to perform rotating and weekends shift work at moment's notice
  • Actively participate and involve in appropriate development of HSE matters in areas of hazard / incident identifications, risk assessments and determination of controls
  • Ensure work activities and behavior achieved conformity to the HSE policy, objectives and procedures outlined in the HSE management system and compliance to applicable local legal requirements.
  • In addition to these duties/responsibilities employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required

Job requirement:

  • Relevant Industrial Training Certification or NITEC in engineering discipline.
  • CNC turning experience preferable
  • Analytical and creative approach to problem solving
  • Ability to communicate effectively on all levels
  • Familiar and competent in using Precision Measuring Instruments
  • Comfortable to perform night shift when required.
