Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Quality, speed, flexibility, and reliability of assigned commodities.
- Supports factory operations through fast resolution of supplier non-conformances, including short term containment, root cause identification, and long term, effective corrective actions.
- Work with cross functional teams to resolve supplier quality issues in a timely and systematic fashion.
- Ensure suppliers follow robust change management processes to maintain and improve product quality and production performance.
- Identify supplier related problems and improvement opportunities. Perform root-cause investigation, implement corrective actions improve supplier performance.
- Timely communication of supplier issues that affect product quality and delivery capability to the relevant stakeholders across the organization.
- Maintain lessons learned from various investigations to assist in development and sharing of best practice
- Acts as the internal expert on assigned commodities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical / Electronics Engineering or any relevant.
- At least 2 years of experiences in handling suppliers, within manufacturing industry.
- Working knowledge and trained in Lean techniques; SPC, 6-Sigma (Green Belt) is an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality System and Working knowledge of Supplier and Process
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Training and/or certification as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) will be an advantage.
