As a Data Scientist at Kyndryl you are the bridge between business problems and innovative solutions, using a powerful blend of well-defined methodologies, statistics, mathematics, domain expertise, consulting, and software engineering. Our team is focused on advancing data privacy capabilities and driving adoption of Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) across industries. We have developed innovative tools for data anonymization and Synthetic Data Generation (SDG)—a cutting-edge technology that creates safe, shareable alternatives to sensitive data for analytics and AI use cases.

We are seeking a Data Scientist to support the growth of our SDG platform, currently offered as a web interface with API integration on the roadmap. This role involves active feature development and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions for enterprise clients.

Who You Are

As a Data Scientist, you will work on end-to-end data science initiatives, including analyzing large datasets and developing predictive models using Python and leading ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn. You will conduct research and experiments on privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), translating academic findings into practical, deployable solutions. This role involves designing proof-of-concepts and pilot programs to validate innovative approaches, collaborating closely with software engineers to integrate machine learning features into production systems, and supporting CI/CD workflows. Additionally, you will monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and cloud services (AWS Redshift, Glue, QuickSight, Lambda), create dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights effectively, and document methodologies to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field.

• 3 years of professional experience in data science and machine learning.

• Strong programming proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and backend development (REST APIs, FastAPI, Flask).

• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and collaborative coding best practices.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies (anonymization, SDG, differential privacy).

• Familiarity with frontend integration workflows ).

• Prior experience in multi-disciplinary product teams.

• Curiosity and willingness to learn new domains, especially data privacy.
