Job Scope – Preschool Teacher (EY2/L1/L2 Certified)

1. Curriculum Planning & Implementation

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum frameworks
  • Create engaging learning materials and classroom setups
  • Observe and document children's development to inform teaching
  • Apply effective classroom and behaviour management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards

2. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with families to support continuity of care
  • Coordinate and engage with families, volunteers, and community partners
  • Support the development of centre-wide family and community initiatives

3. Caregiving & Daily Routines

  • Conduct assessments and ensure quality of routine caregiving
  • Guide care practices according to SOPs and identify areas for improvement

4. Professional Development & Practice

  • Uphold centre values and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Stay updated with sector trends and suggest teaching improvements
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance service and teaching quality
Job Requirements
  • Early Years Educator (EY2): Possess the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY) or an equivalent qualification recognized by ECDA.
  • Preschool Educator (L1/L2): Hold the Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (ACECCE) or Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (DECCE-T), or equivalent qualifications recognized by ECDA.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in early childhood care and education (ECCE)
  • Strong passion for working with children
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
