Sales Consultant

The Automotive Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience through the entire sales process from initial enquiry to vehicle handover. The role involves understanding customer needs, recommending suitable vehicle options, and closing sales to meet or exceed individual and team targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Sales
- Actively greet and engage walk-in, phone, and online customers in a professional manner.
- Understand customer preferences and provide recommendations based on their needs and budget.
- Conduct product presentations and test drives to demonstrate vehicle features and benefits.
- Present financing, trade-in, and insurance options clearly and professionally.
- Ensure all sales leads are followed up promptly and effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all available models, specifications, pricing, and promotions.
Sales Process & Documentation
- Ensure the full sales process is carried out in compliance with company standards and policies.
- Prepare and process sales quotations, agreements, and loan documents accurately.
- Assist in arranging trade-in evaluations and negotiating win-win solutions for both the company and customer.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Workshop, Delivery) to ensure smooth vehicle handover.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Follow up after delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions using CRM tools.
Performance & Reporting
- Achieve monthly and quarterly individual sales targets.
- Monitor personal performance metrics and participate in regular team meetings and sales reviews.
- Stay informed of market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
- Proven experience in automotive sales or a customer-facing sales role is preferred.
- Experience in Salesforce prefered
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Results-driven with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of vehicle financing, insurance, and trade-in processes is an advantage.
- Possession of a valid Class 3/3A driving licence.
