About the role
R Chan & Associates PAC is seeking experienced audit seniors/associates to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our audit practice, you will be responsible for planning and executing financial statement audits for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position based in our office in the Downtown Core Central Region.
What you'll be doing
- Participating in all stages of the audit process, from planning and risk assessment to fieldwork and reporting
- Examining and evaluating financial records, internal controls, and accounting systems
- Identifying and addressing audit issues, and recommending improvements to client processes
- Preparing audit working papers, reports, and other client deliverables
- Mentoring and training more junior members of the audit team
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on external audit
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings to clients
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, CA) or working towards one
