OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented and proactive Cyber Security Senior Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's computer networks and systems and to lead our cyber security initiatives and provide expert-level guidance on all aspects of cyber security. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of extensive hands-on experience in cyber security, with a proven track record of designing and implementing advanced security solutions, conducting in-depth threat assessments, and effectively mitigating complex security risks. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of cyber security principles, framework, strong analytical skills, and the ability to stay updated on emerging threats and technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the organization's digital assets against advanced cyber threats.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk assessments, to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
  • Design and implement advanced security controls and technologies to protect the organization's networks, systems, and data, including but not limited to advanced threat detection and prevention systems, security analytics platforms, and encryption technologies.
  • Monitor and analyse network traffic, system logs, and security alerts using advanced security tools and techniques to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber threats and attacks.
  • Lead incident response efforts for complex security incidents, including coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and law enforcement agencies, and conducting forensic investigations to determine the root cause and impact of security breaches.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on cyber security matters, providing expert-level guidance and recommendations to senior management, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, security trends, and technologies through continuous research and education, and proactively recommend and implement innovative security solutions to address evolving threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, IM8) and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO and drive a culture of security awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level cyber security analysts, providing guidance, training, and support to develop their skills and expertise in cyber security.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's security posture by identifying gaps and vulnerabilities, implementing security best practices, and participating in security audits and assessments.
  • Knowledge using Darktrace cyber security protection (good to have).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, OSCP) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in a cyber security role, with a strong track record of designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level security solutions and initiatives.
  • Deep technical expertise in cyber security technologies, tools, and methodologies, including but not limited to network security, endpoint security, cloud security, cryptography, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • Extensive experience conducting advanced security assessments, including threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments, using industry-standard frameworks and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex security issues, evaluate risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading and managing cross-functional teams and driving security initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and flexibility.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging cyber security threats, trends, and technologies.
