Job Scope

  • Maintaining electrical systems for marine vessels, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical issues to minimise downtime and ensure the safe and reliable operation of marine equipment

  • Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to proactively identify and address potential problems

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including naval architects and marine technicians, to deliver integrated solutions

  • Providing technical support and guidance to vessel crews, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to operate electrical systems effectively

  • Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve operational efficiency and safety

Requirements

  • Min Higher Nitec in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on marine applications

  • Minimum 1 years of experience as an Electrical Marine Engineer, preferably in marine sector

  • Strong technical expertise in the maintenance of marine electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and vessel crews

  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices
