As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. ORMaster's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. ORPhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.1. Drive cost reductions weed out unwarranted expenses/wastages and improve equipment performance.2. Drive equipment fault investigations and continuous improvement programs to resolve chronic equipment issues, and institute permanent resolutions to assure product quality and enhance process robustness.3. Enforce on equipment maintenance controls and execution to conform to work instructions and procedures.  Apply hands-on and with deep involvement at work. 4. Coach, guide and train engineers and technicians in equipment problem solving and analysis to build up their technical competencies and achieve self-sustenance. 5. Manage his team of technicians in providing effective support on production equipment. 6. Provide effective equipment trainings to the technicians to build up their technical and skill competencies.7. Ensure non-conformance is dealt with in a proper and effective manner. 8. Take accountability of work and possesses strong sense of responsibility and team work.9. Manage and control spare parts availability and costs. 10. Manage vendor services and supports and ensuring compliance with factory protocol. 11. Establish, review and perform regular update of PM procedures, Risks Assessments and Troubleshooting guidelines. 12. Create technical specification for new and transferred equipment.  13. Execute the equipment move-in, installation, set up and buy-off, meeting set timelines. 14. Compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S standard and cleanroom protocol.Education/Experience Requirements1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.2. Minimum 4 years of related work experience in wafer process engineering and/or equipment maintenance.3. Experience in high volume production of electronics components in an MNC or semi-conductor industry.4. Possess strong technical competencies in his field of study.5. Good knowledge of statistical and quality tools.6. Able to work under pressure and with strong commitment at work.7.
