Specification Specialist will lead specification efforts for our high performance glass solutions in Singapore. This role is pivotal in influencing key stakeholders in the construction ecosystem to adopt Saint-Gobain's high-performance glass products in construction and projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with architects, façade consultants, sustainability experts, and other project stakeholders who shape specifications for regional developments. By embedding Saint-Gobain's high-performance glass into project designs, the Specification Manager will play a critical role in securing long-term business opportunities and accelerating sales conversion.

This position demands a strong blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and stakeholder engagement to ensure Saint-Gobain's solutions are consistently positioned as the preferred choice in premium and sustainable building projects.


Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement & Specification Influence

  • Proactively approach and build strong relationships with architects, façade consultants, sustainability consultants, project owners, and other key influencers based in Singapore with regional project reach.
  • Promote and specify Saint-Gobain coated glass solutions in early project stages and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Influence specifications and decisions across stakeholders including project management teams, quantity surveyors, main contractors, and system partners.

Sales & Project Development

  • Drive specification to sales conversion by following through on projects from design to execution.
  • Secure high-value accounts and projects through consultative selling and solution-based approaches.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring mutual value creation and customer satisfaction.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with local sales team in SEA, Marketing, and Technical teams to deploy and align company strategies.
  • Specifications in projects through strong relationship building with architects/ consultants in Singapore for projects of Singapore and other countries of ASEAN
  • Liaise with Saint-Gobain local and regional teams to leverage resources, share insights, and create synergies.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

  • Contribute to sales forecasting, and target achievement on weekly, monthly, and annual bases.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and project pipelines to identify new opportunities.

Reporting

  • This position reports to the Sales Head of ASEAN exports

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in specification, business development, or technical sales within the building materials or façade industry.
  • Strong network within the Singapore architectural and construction community.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix organization.
