Job Purpose

Emirates NBD PJSC Singapore branch conducts both a Corporate & Investment banking business as well as a Wealth management business.

The Wealth Management business is on the cusp of a transition from serving as a coverage unit for the group's private banking clients to being positioned for development of a Best-in-Class segment agnostic Wealth Management platform.

As a result of this transition and the pursuant kick of several business initiatives, several internship opportunities have arisen.

During the internship period, the selected candidate will be exposed to various areas within the Wealth Management team. A senior staff will be assigned as the mentor to the selected candidate.

Job Content

The Overall of view of responsibilities and duties are:

  • Selected candidates will provide basic support to wealth advisors, advising the current positions of client's account, loan positions and rebalancing of client's portfolio.
  • Selected candidates will learn the technicalities of how to use Bloomberg.
  • Selected candidates will assist the Client Service teams on the various administrative matters within Wealth management.
  • Selected candidates will be involved in preparing various pitch decks to internal stakeholders.

Opportunities & Exposure

  • Selected candidates will get an opportunity to understand the wealth management needs of private banking, priority banking and business banking client segments of the group.
  • Selected candidates will get an opportunity to understand products and investment solutions within the bounds of wealth management including the use and impact of leverage (loans).
  • Outside of wealth management, selected candidates will be exposed to upstream/downstream departments such as Credit, Treasury, Compliance, Risk functions as well.

Projects:

  • Certain work ownership and responsibilities will also be provided to selected candidates such as mini projects to streamline processes of the Bank

  • Positive attitude.
  • Able to demonstrate keenness in acquiring new knowledge and work under short turnaround time.
  • Candidate must be able to commit to Internship period of 6 months. Please state clearly the internship period / dates that you are available.

Education and/or professional qualification

  • Currently pursuing at least a Bachelor's Degree
