Profile: Bonsai Gardener

Contract Period: 2 January 2026 to 31 December 2026 (Option to extend for 1 year)

Working Hours

Personnel shall be deployed at the following hours:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays: 8:00am to 11:00am
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.

Scope of Services1) Bonsai Care and Maintenance

  • Prune, wire, shape, and maintain Bonsai trees according to seasonal and aesthetic requirements.
  • Water, fertilize, and monitor Bonsai plant health regularly.
  • Prevent and control Bonsai diseases and pests using eco-friendly methods.
  • Repot Bonsai trees when necessary, including root trimming and soil enhancement.

2) General Plant and Landscape Maintenance

  • Maintain ornamental plants and landscaped areas throughout the school campus.
  • Perform watering, pruning, fertilizing, weeding, and general plant upkeep.
  • Apply sustainable pest control and disease prevention practices.
  • Report plant health issues to the Facilities Manager promptly.

3) Equipment and Supplies Maintenance

  • Ensure all gardening tools and equipment are maintained and stored properly.
  • Manage inventory and replenish gardening supplies such as soil, fertilizers, and Bonsai care materials.

4) Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to school safety protocols during all gardening activities.
  • Dispose of gardening waste responsibly and maintain environmental hygiene.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in gardening, Bonsai care, horticulture, or landscaping.
  • Knowledge of Bonsai pruning, shaping, and maintenance techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to $2,000.00 per month
