About the role

As the QA Manager at Wong Hing Long Technologies Pte Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge mechanical engineering products. Reporting directly to the engineering leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities, from product testing to process improvement. This full-time position is based in our state-of-the-art facility in Defu Industrial Park in the North-East Region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing and implementing comprehensive quality control plans and procedures
  2. Leading a team of quality assurance professionals to conduct rigorous testing and inspections at all stages of the product life cycle
  3. Analysing test data and production metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous quality enhancement
  4. Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues
  5. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards
  6. Providing regular progress reports and making recommendations to senior management
  7. Mentoring and developing the QA team to foster a culture of excellence

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
  2. Minimum 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with a proven track record in a similar role within the mechanical engineering industry
  3. Extensive knowledge of quality management systems, statistical process control, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
  4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  5. Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and mentor a team
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  7. Proficiency in using quality assurance software and data analysis tools
  8. Qualified welding inspector certification is a bonus
  9. Must be Singaporean, Permanent Resident or Malaysian.
