About the role

As a Retail Supervisor at Popular Book Company Pte Ltd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a department in our retail stores. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing the retail assistants, providing exceptional customer service to our valued customers and maintaining high standards of department presentation.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the retail team, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance management
  • Providing excellent customer service by assisting customers, handling inquiries, and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Ensuring that store operations, inventory, and merchandising standards are maintained to the highest level
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to improve store efficiency, sales, and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborating with the store management team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to drive customer engagement and increase revenue

What we're looking for

  • Minimum GCE O level with 2 years of experience in a retail supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide exceptional customer experiences
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively manage a team
  • Proficient in inventory management, merchandising, and store operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges and make informed decisions
  • Enthusiastic about the retail industry and the company's products and services
