Job Responsibilities 

  • Leads and trains pharmacists from pre-registration to senior levels, developing advanced generalist specialists.
  • Designs and implements training objectives, curricula, and materials to keep the department's knowledge and skills up to date.
  • Collaborates with departments and external partners on cross-disciplinary education and training.
  • Reviews prescriptions for appropriateness and performs medication reconciliation.
  • Provides drug information and participates in clinical services, including multidisciplinary rounds and ambulatory care.
  • Dispenses and counsels patients on prescribed medications.
  • Supervises and reviews the work of pharmacy assistants and technicians.
  • Delivers lectures and training for pharmacy staff, hospital employees, and students.
  • Supports other pharmacy-related duties and ad-hoc departmental projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Possesses a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or an equivalent Degree recognized by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
  • Holds a minimum of five years' clinical experience.
  • Exhibits a strong commitment to innovation and education in clinical practice.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record in the development and implementation of new clinical services and training programmes.
  • Possesses excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
