What the role is

You conduct research and provide timely analysis of the information environment, with focus on defence, security developments and socio-economic issues.

What you will be working on

  • Conduct research and analysis of the information environment
  • Perform information network analysis
  • Study the resonance of narratives in the information environment
  • Liaise with stakeholders on collection requirements, planning, and execution
  • Support capability development with various entities
  • Provide accurate, relevant, and timely analytical products
    Challenge(s)
  • Embracing a steep learning curve in a complex field
  • Quickly making sense of ongoing developments and conversations in the information environment

What we are looking for

  • Education in Mass Communications or Social Sciences (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, Psychology, Economics)
  • Good analytical and writing skills
  • Good awareness of Singapore's political, defence, and security developments as well as understanding of current affairs
  • Acute awareness of the regional and international media environment
  • Ability to leverage media environment knowledge for MINDEF/SAF's benefit
  • Proficiency in a vernacular language is advantageous
