NYK is the world's largest RORO shipping operator with an extensive global network to fulfil our customers' shipping needs. You will be based in Singapore with primary focus at leading the team in the day-to-day business process. You will need to manage our RORO team as well as cross division to ensure the successful delivery of our services.
We are currently recruiting for a manager to join our RORO business segment. The candidate must be an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated individual with real passion for RORO trade who will work closely with our agency, safety & quality, auto logistics and sales team to ensure the successful delivery of our services.
JOB OUTLINE
Candidate is also responsible to ensure that the daily shipping activities are in compliance with NYK Group Credo and business policies. He/she reports to the General Manager and Director of RORO and carry out sub-leading functions of the division. He/she must ensure timely and accurate response to customer's request and liaise with each stakeholder (internal/external) for smooth coordination for all transactions.

Minimum experience:
At least 2-year experience in RORO shipping/stevedoring company.
Working days:
Mondays to Fridays, subject to vessel schedules including weekends and Public Holidays.
Working hours:
8.30am – 5.30pm, subject to vessel schedules including after official hours.
Qualifications :
Diploma / Degree in Maritime or relevant discipline
Salary:
S$7,000 to S$14,000 depending on years of experience

Your duties essential for the job:
To attend and supervise cargo operation for Car Carriers at the Port of Singapore.
To address cargo damage and operational issues related to cargo handling at all ports inAsia & Oceania.
To educate stevedores for safet cargo handling procedures for Car Carriers across all ports in the Asia & Oceania region.
To plan vessel schedules and prepare yard arrangement in Singapore RORO terminal.
To assist and support management of contract relating to terminal operations in Singapore.
To assist and support management in areas of Safety & Quality, Auto Logistics and Agency of RORO Division team.
Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Basic requirements:
Well versed in vessel operations, cargo operation for Car Carriers, with knowledge of shipping documentation including agency dutiesfor husbanding and auto logistics in inland transportation.
Well familiar with RORO operation with at least 2 years' experience as supervisor for Car Carriers.
Flexible and able to adapt to changing vessel schedules.
Basic knowledge of accounting for P/L and balance sheets.
Good command in both English and Japanese in writing, reading, listening and speaking and possess a minimum JPLT2 cert in Japanese language proficiency to liaise with Japanese speaking customers and associates
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
Willing and able to travel internationally as required
Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
A team leader and willing to take ownership of an opportunity and hands on every aspect of the job.
