POSITION

  • Senior / Sourcing Specialist

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform research and identify potential suppliers or vendors for EMS Industries
  • And evaluate their capabilities, quality standards, pricing, and delivery terms to select the most suitable sources for Purchasing/Program.
  • Perform price negotiation and Commercial Terms, and provide up to date prices with Suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Suppliers, and collaborate to ensure consistent supply and quality of electronic components. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Conduct cost analysis and feasibility study of electronic components and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Conduct cost estimation and lead-time for Customized parts to support Program requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements and cost savings for the company.
  • Risk Management. To assess and mitigate risks associated with the availability, quality, or reliability of electronic components. Commodity specialists monitor market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact the supply chain. They develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of component supply.
  • Commodity specialists collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as engineers, Program, Quality Dept and Purchasing teams, to understand component requirements and specifications. They communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth purchasing processes and timely delivery of components.
  • Achieve KPIs to support the company's objectives
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor or Manager from time to time.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering with min. 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Good discipline and pay attention to details.
  • Experience electronic components and/or mechanical parts.
  • Good in Sourcing electronics components and supply market.
  • Able to multi-tasks and willing to learn new skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Pleasant personality, Matured, initiative, resourceful and able to communicate effectively within team members.
  • Team Player and able to work independently.
  • Previous working in Electronic Manufacturing Service company is added advantage.

Candidate who can start work early will be preferred.
