Role Overview

As the Editor in Chief, you will guide teams across News, Social Media and Visual storytelling. Your mandate is to elevate the brand's voice, strengthen audience connection, and steer the organisation toward new horizons in digital media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership

    Shape the editorial vision and roadmap, anticipating shifts in the digital landscape. Work closely with the CEO, supported by senior editorial leads, to chart direction and navigate emerging opportunities.
  • Content Development & Innovation

    Drive the evolution of content across formats and platforms. Influence how stories are crafted, presented, and distributed, pushing for fresh ideas that deepen engagement.
  • Operational Management

    Oversee newsroom workflows to ensure efficiency and consistency. From long-range planning to day-to-day editorial decisions, ensure quality storytelling, strong visual execution, and productive collaboration across departments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    Build trust with internal and external partners. Present ideas with confidence, and nurture relationships that support growth and alignment.
  • Team Leadership

    Inspire and mentor editorial talent. Foster a high-performance environment grounded in creativity, accountability, and shared purpose.
What You Bring
  • At least a decade of newsroom management experience, guiding editorial teams and nurturing journalistic capability.
  • Excellent editorial instincts, with the ability to communicate and influence through compelling narratives and visuals.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, generative AI in content workflows, and social media strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and motivate writers and editors while building cross-team relationships.
  • A collaborative spirit, creative mindset, and a determination to pursue meaningful work.
