Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to designing promotional strategy in line with the sales strategy. Each day, you will ensure the planning and timely execution of promotional activities with appropriate technical content for the assigned target audience. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and driving Datacenter Segment Technical Design and Promotions activities proactively and ensuring a high level of technical knowledge with commercial astuteness.

A collaborative self-starter capable of both individually contributing as much s work with in-country Marketing & Sales teams to drive preference for ABB products and solutions.

  • Aligning the promotional strategy and activities plan with the overall segment strategy and sales activities plan and driving the demand for ABB products and solutions in the Datacenter segment.
  • Implementing proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, educational material, and technical development of projects and solutions for the segment stakeholder group.
  • Creating plans for target audience visits and conduct regular status reviews, including analyzing and deriving the insights and output of the visits.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective long-term relationships with target group customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and to ensure they are well-informed of the ABB product, systems, services offering, features, and benefits.
  • Ensuring a positive experience for the customer target group throughout the promotion activities.
  • Supporting directly and/or with local technical promotions and product management teams in providing the Sales organization on-time and quality technical support and technical training to the target audience resulting in high customer satisfaction.
  • Providing support to customers, particularly consultants, engineering firms, and architect offices, in project development and technical problem- solving.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and strong value proposition to customers by using effective promotional techniques.
  • Conducting and organizing appropriate training interventions to educate the target audience on ABB products, systems, services, and offerings.
  • Working closely with segment account managers in driving and mapping pipeline opportunities and connect the opportunity stakeholders to relevant ABB solutions.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are highly-motivated, collaborative, self-starter who likes to be empowered to work autonomously and plan your own work.
  • You have demonstrable/proven experience in the Data Center segment in electrical distribution.
  • You have a working knowledge of the Data Center segment electrical solutions, designs and needs. Ideally you are from within the datacenter segment electrical industry community or similar.
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in driving specification and product solutions and creating demand.
  • Passionate about winning and growing the business over a long-term partnership with industry customers and stakeholders.
  • Curious by nature and not afraid to try and propose new strategies, whilst being humble to listen to the customers needs and collaborate with peers.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience or related engineering degree.
  • You are at ease communicating to large groups, presenting at events or keynotes and comfortable engaging at all levels of an organization
