Job Summary
The Food Trimmer is responsible for trimming, cutting, and preparing meat, poultry, seafood, or produce according to company specifications and hygiene standards. This role ensures that products meet quality and safety requirements before packaging or further processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Trim fat, bone, skin, or unwanted parts from food products (e.g., meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables) to meet production standards.
- Inspect raw materials and report quality concerns or foreign objects.
- Operate knives or other hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and tools.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), including food safety and hygiene rules (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
- Work in cold-room or wet environment for extended periods as needed.
- Pack or portion products based on weight and packaging requirements.
- Assist in receiving, storing, or organizing raw materials and finished goods.
- Meet daily trimming quotas and performance targets.
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food handling, trimming, or processing is preferred but not mandatory (training provided).
- Comfortable working with raw meat, seafood, or fresh produce.
- Able to work in cold environments
- Ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Team player with a positive work attitude.
- Able to understand and follow instructions in English, or Mandarin
Working hours: Mon to Sat (12pm to 8pm)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $1,500.00 per month
