We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Officer cum ECO to lead and uphold exceptional HSE standards across our construction sites. This position requires a certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with a proven track record in managing safety protocols on construction projects of similar scale and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor site operations to ensure full compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and recommend effective preventive measures.
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and guidance to site personnel on HSE best practices, emergency protocols, and safety awareness.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Director and other stakeholders to embed HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive HSE performance reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and environmental responsibility throughout all phases of project delivery.

Role Requirements:

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
  • Min 5 years of relevant experience in managing safety on construction sites, managing LTA building projects such as bus depot etc In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards and best practices in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem- solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of personnel.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed incident reports.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development in the field of HSE.
