Full Stack Developer – Mission-Critical Systems

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our high-performing technology team building and maintaining systems and infrastructure that power our commodities exchange and clearing house.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative and demanding environment, contributing to the development and operation of mission-critical platforms that support real-time trading and clearing services. You will also be instrumental in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance across our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer the Backbone of the Marketplace: Design, build, and maintain high-performance systems that support the daily operations of our exchange and clearing house.
  • Drive Innovation and Business Expansion: Deliver IT solutions that enable new product offerings and accelerate our reach into diverse markets and geographies.
  • Empower Business Through Technology: Partner with business and control teams to streamline workflows and unlock efficiencies through smart, scalable solutions.
  • Lead Cloud-Native Deployments: Manage enterprise-grade applications on containerized AWS infrastructure, ensuring resilience, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Champion Cybersecurity Excellence: Embed security-by-design principles into every layer of our technology stack, reinforcing our defences against evolving threats.
  • Optimize for Performance and Insight: Implement metrics and observability tools to monitor system health, analyse resource usage, and continuously enhance performance.
  • Be the Technical Guardian: Provide expert-level support to swiftly resolve incidents and maintain system stability across mission-critical environments.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep pace with emerging technologies, industry trends, and security standards to ensure our platform remains a leader in innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Full Stack Developer, with a proven track record in delivering mission-critical systems.
  • Strong foundation in building distributed server-side systems within a microservices architecture.
  • Advanced skills in React and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with AWS is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, database, and software design principles.
  • Team player with effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
