Singapore BIDEFORD HOUSE PTE. LTD. Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

COMO Metropolitan Singapore marks a debut homecoming for our Singapore-founded company. It's the first time COMO Group's signature brands – COMO Hotels and Resorts, a multi-label fashion retail space curated by Club 21, a new urban wellness space by COMO Shambhala, contemporary international dining by COMO Cuisine, as well as Michelin-starred gourmet concept by COTE Korean Steakhouse and internationally-renown patisserie Cédric Grolet — will be housed under one prestigious address: COMO Orchard.

Job Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

  • Oversee all accounting activities below GOP, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashiering, inventory, fixed assets and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure resolution of discrepancies.

Audit Management

  • Coordinate and support both internal and external audits for below-GOP accounts and processes.
  • Prepare required documentation, respond to auditor inquiries, and implement audit recommendations.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure audit trails for all financial transactions.

Tax Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of income tax filings
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants as needed.

Treasury & Cash Management

  • Manage daily cash flow, including monitoring bank accounts, preparing bank reconciliations, and forecasting cash requirements.
  • Manage funding and treasury matters with owner's finance office

Financial Controls & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with company policies in respect to matters below GOP
  • Perform regular review of below GOP accounts with owner's finance office

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and submit regular financial reports on below-GOP performance to management, highlighting key variances and trends.
  • Reporting on PPE movements, including Fixed Asset Register and depreciation charge.
  • Support the preparation of management reports and assist with budget and forecast processes for items below GOP

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with operational departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
    Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Sun Accounting System
  • Opera Cloud set up knowledge
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for identifying discrepancies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage and mentor junior staff.
