Tech Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage specimen reception, sorting, labeling, and distribution to appropriate sections. Ensure accurate data entry into the lab system and dispatch of specimens as required.
• Receive, store, and monitor laboratory consumables, reagents, and test kits. Prepare and pack supplies for dispatch to external clients and assist in replenishing stock for various lab sections.
• Perform basic quality control tasks, general cleaning of lab areas and equipment, and assist in maintaining proper lab hygiene and inventory, including laundry duties for lab items.
• Provide support in order entry, report preparation, and maintenance of accurate lab records. Perform troubleshooting tasks for lab equipment and computer-related issues.
• Supervise locum/part-time lab assistants, prioritize work tasks, and ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and hospital policies while maintaining effective communication.

Job Requirements:

• Nitec to Diploma in any discipline
• Keen to work in a fast pace environment
• Training will be provided
