About Us

Playful Genius Learning Academy is the first tuition centre in Singapore that focuses on helping active learners take ownership of their learning through reflective learning.

We don't just teach problem-solving — we teach children how to think clearly, plan steps, and learn from mistakes to build confidence and resilience.

Role Overview

We are looking for tutors who believe teaching is more than giving answers — it's guiding children to find their own.

You will conduct Math lessons in small-group or one-to-one settings, helping students reflect on their thinking process, identify errors, and make concrete plans to improve through guided reflection and positive communication.

You'll Be a Great Fit If You Are

  • Excited to work with learners aged 6 to 12
  • A systematic thinker, or willing to learn how to teach in a structured, step-by-step way rather than relying only on assessment-book practice
  • Open-minded and eager to learn reflective teaching frameworks that strengthen focus, responsibility, and independence
  • Able to communicate using positive, action-based language that helps children understand what went wrong and what to do next
  • Patient, consistent, and committed to helping each child progress at their own pace
  • Interested in developing long-term teaching, reflection, and coaching skills

Requirements

  • Minimum commitment of 1 year after confirmation
  • University undergraduates welcome (class schedules can be adjusted each semester)
  • Both experienced and first-time tutors are encouraged to apply
  • Must attend training and observation sessions before teaching independently
  • Classes are mainly held weekdays 3–8 pm and weekends 10 am–4 pm; availability for at least one slot is required
