  • Responsible for supporting the activities of the Cold Kitchen production team so that production schedules are being followed.
  • Assist in preparing a wide variety of baked goods, desserts, cold kitchen items such as sandwiches, salads etc.
  • Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards set by the Head Pastry Chef.
  • Ensure proper storage of ingredients and monitor inventory levels.
  • Assist with plating and presentation for service and events.
  • Learn new techniques and contribute to menu development when required.
  • Preparing the work stations, preparing ingredients for the cooks, as well as packaging food products.
  • Expected to ensure cleanliness and reinstate work stations, operate cooking equipment and dispose of waste as per defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Expected to apply food production standards and SOPs related to safety and hygiene policies and procedures, as well as other SOPs.
  • Expected to follow oral instructions and procedures and requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills to complete tasks.
  • Interpret production schedules and translate production targets to own output for the shift
  • Monitor own output levels to ensure timely delivery of output targets and compliance to required quality standards
  • Inform supervisors of any delays or unforeseen circumstances in own production output
