Indirect Tax - Senior Manager (Financial Services Industry) (Indirect Tax GST Service Line in Deloitte Tax & Legal Singapore)

Deloitte's Indirect Tax group is a market leader in providing high quality, value added guidance on indirect tax related matters to businesses in Singapore, Southeast Asia and around the world. The Financial Services Indirect Tax team operates within the broader indirect tax group and supports clients across the sector, including Banking & Capital Markets, Investment Management, Insurance, Real Estate as well as emerging areas such as digital assets, fintech and carbon credit trading.

Within the Indirect Tax Group, the Financial Services Indirect Tax Team operates within the wider SEA T&L Financial Services Group serving clients across the sectors of Banking & Capital Markets, Investment Management, Insurance, Real Estate, as well as emerging areas such as digital assets, fintech, and carbon credit trading

The successful candidate will provide GST advisory and compliance services to our clients and work in a growing team dealing with a challenging area of tax, as well as managing issues ranging from routine compliance matters to complex cross-border transactions. This role will include managing client engagements, with direct reporting to Directors, Partners and provide tailored technical advice to clients on transactions, performing ASK / ACAP reviews, mentoring and developing junior staff, building internal and external relationships 

Work you'll do

• Provide Indirect Tax advisory and compliance services to clients, ensuring effective navigation of GST-related matters in the Financial services industry 
• Work within a growing team, tackling the challenges of the dynamic indirect tax landscape
• Manage a diverse range of issues, from routine compliance tasks to complex cross-border transactions
• Perform other tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success and development of the team

Requirements

• Possess minimum a Bachelor's Degree in related disciplines such as Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Law.
• Previous Financial Services GST experience will be an advantage
• Must possess Professional Accounting Qualification, otherwise you are required to pursue one professional accounting qualification and complete within three years
• Minimum of 10 years of Indirect Tax experience preferably with an international accounting firm or a corporate, as part of an in-house tax team or IRAS 
• Analytical mind and meticulous skills
• Possess good organizational skills and able to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
