Software Engineer Internship

This role is prioritised for students from Singapore-based educational institutions who are pursuing a software engineering related degree.

You'll be a part of our development team and experience working with different frameworks, testing tools, CI/CD pipelines and collaborate closely with our designers and other developers.

Red Airship is a growing Singapore-based company focusing on designing and developing custom software for SMEs and MNCs in finance, banking, e-commerce, business, social, and the arts. We specialize in Android, iOS, and Web applications using modern cloud architecture, cutting edge technology and lovingly crafted UI UX.

We started as a humble Mobile and Drupal specialist in 2013 to help our clients build great products. We have since expanded our user research capabilities, design thinking, Agile, and diversified into various technologies to become more technology agnostic. Requirements

Interns to be involved in:

1. Pairing with the team lead/ other developers on web/ mobile projects with MNCs and SMEs in Singapore
2. Writing technical design documents to strengthen your system architecture design thinking.
3. Writing automated tests and performing manual testing.
4. Code review sessions.
5. Participate and run Code Katas.
6. Work closely with designers and business users.
7. Team meetings and activities

Technical Skills and Competencies Intern will learn during the Internship:

1. Typescript, Reacts, Redux, Jest, Cordova, Node, Git, Npm, Gitlab, Figma, Slack, Jira, PhpStorm, Swift, reactive programming, iOS frameworks, using GenAI effectively. As the team works with a wide range of technologies, the specic language you pick up would depend on your interest and who you will be pairing with.
2. Software engineering fundamentals, Agile and Test-driven development.
3. How to engage business users professionally

Internship Period

For a meaningful internship, we find the ideal duration to be at least/ more than 5 months. This internship is for fulfilment in 2026 and we will be reviewing/shortlisting the candidates sometime in Q3/Q4 of 2025.

Note: You will need a working laptop or desktop running Windows or Mac OS that allows you to install relevant software to work on client projects. On a case-by-case basis, a laptop may be provided for you.
