Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of a team of Laboratory Assistants responsible for checking, testing, and inspecting raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure optimal use of team resources and timely achievement of work schedules and quality targets.
  • Assist the QC Manager in the classification and disposition of final products and reworked lots.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot quality-related issues; implement corrective and preventive actions based on analysis and gap studies.
  • Monitor in-process samples and collaborate closely with production teams to address quality deviations through preventive and corrective measures.
  • Prepare reports on laboratory activities and progress to identify and resolve recurring issues related to product quality or testing reliability.
  • Oversee staff performance, equipment functionality, and lab processes to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality control system.
  • Prepare and maintain quality reports and budget updates for management review.
  • Conduct training for Laboratory Assistants and Shift Technicians assigned to lab-related tasks, ensuring compliance with standard procedures.
  • Supervise, guide, and coach team members to foster skill development and high performance.
  • Provide support for QC-related functions both onsite and off-site as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to supervise and lead a team of Laboratory Assistants.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure in a very fast pace Chemical Manufacturing QC environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Cross-functional collaboration
