Job Description

The role is for a Chemistry Laboratory Intern. The main responsibilities include:

  • Preparing materials and equipment for Chemistry lessons and practicals, including setting up and cleaning up after lessons.
  • Maintaining laboratory and preparation areas to ensure they are clean, organized, and adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assisting teaching staff by setting up demonstrations, preparing chemical solutions, and performing safety checks.
  • Handling and storing chemicals and equipment safely, as well as ensuring proper disposal of laboratory waste.
  • Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on laboratory equipment as needed.
  • Conducting experiments to obtain results for teachers when required.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma or Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 1-2 years of lab experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • An understanding of lab safety protocols and a proactive approach to maintaining them.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to our working hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM - 9 PM.
