Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough digital forensic investigations to identify, collect, analyze, and preserve electronic evidence.
- Utilize forensic tools and methodologies to recover data from various digital devices, including computers, mobile phones, and network systems.
- Analyze digital evidence to support legal cases, internal investigations, and incident response.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings, ensuring accuracy and clarity for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with legal teams, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to provide expert testimony and support during legal proceedings.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in digital forensics and cybersecurity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards during investigations.
- Research, develop and conduct training concerning DFIR practices for client and internal team consumption.
- Willing to work on call (when necessary)
- During quiet / peace time, able to contribute to other Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) or Vulnerability Assessments & Penetration Testing (VAPT) projects in a support capacity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CCE, CFCE, GCFA, GCFE, EnCE, or CCFP.
- Proven experience in digital forensic investigations and incident response.
- Proficiency with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, Magnet AXIOM, and others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with network forensics and malware analysis.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating forensic tasks.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements
