Our client is a local bank they are seeking a highly motivated Application Developer to join them. This role is ideal for someone with strong Python skills, a keen interest in AI integration, and experience with workflow automation tools.

Requirements

  1. Familiarity with modern full-stack technologies
  2. Experience or strong interest in integrating AI services

Must-haves

  1. Understanding of Low-Code AI/Workflow Automation

    Familiarity with platforms like , or similar platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Make) and a grasp of AI/ML concepts in automation. Demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly.
  2. Python Experience (and other scripting languages)

    Demonstrable experience using Python, and ideally other commonly used scripting languages like JavaScript, PowerShell, or Bash, preferably in a data analysis or automation context.
  3. Data Querying (Structured and Unstructured Data)

    Proficiency in querying both structured (SQL) and unstructured data (e.g., NoSQL databases, APIs, text files) to extract and manipulate data for analysis and automation.
  4. Dashboarding Experience

    Proven ability to create insightful and visually appealing dashboards using either Tableau or QlikView (or ideally both). Portfolio or detailed project descriptions are required.
  5. Analytical Skills

    Strong analytical skills for interpreting data, identifying patterns, and translating business needs into automated workflows.

Programming Languages & Frameworks

  1. Python (core automation, scripting, AI/ML integration)
  2. JavaScript/TypeScript (for tool UIs or web-based automation triggers)
  3. SQL (for querying, reporting, and workflow logic)
  4. Java or shell scripting for backend-heavy automation

Automation & Workflow Tools

  1. Python-based automation: Selenium, Playwright, Airflow, Pandas
  2. Experience building internal tools, bots, or custom workflow engines
  3. Workflow engines or low-code tools (e.g., Camunda, Power Automate, UiPath – even if you're building custom ones)

AI / GenAI Stack and Experience

  1. Experience with LLMs and tools such as OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or other orchestration tools
  2. Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)
  3. Working knowledge of prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and integrating LLMs into practical workflows
  4. Experience deploying AI prototypes in internal sandbox environments
  5. Experience in working with sandbox/staging environments, especially for MVP/prototyping cycles

Nice-to-haves

  1. Experience in the Financial Services Industry

    Prior experience in banking or finance, particularly with an understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
  2. Knowledge of Process Re-engineering

    Experience with process improvement methodologies and applying them to redesign and optimize workflows. This includes analyzing existing processes, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing improvements.
  3. Experience with other programming languages (e.g., R)

    For more flexibility and potential for advanced automation tasks.
