About the Role

The Technical Editor is responsible for effective communication, document management, and editorial integrity of client reports and deliverables. This role involves supporting the creation and maintenance of technical documents, ensuring compliance with editorial standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to produce clear, professional content. The position requires managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and shifting priorities, working closely with subject matter experts and organizational leaders to ensure quality and clarity.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Edit and format technical communications to meet quality standards for grammar, clarity, voice, consistency, and accuracy.
  2. Design information for reports, publications, and presentations.
  3. Collaborate with project teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
  4. Maintain repositories of reusable content and boilerplate materials.
  5. Uphold corporate quality standards in all deliverables.
Credentials and Experience

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of technical editing experience, including formatting.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in document design, desktop publishing, and report production.
  • Ability to create non-technical summaries, guidelines, and graphics.
  • Experience organizing complex documentation and performing copy edits.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of broader concepts.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Quick learner of technical subjects.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels.
  • Knowledge of editorial standards, including The Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365 and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • At least 2 years of technical communication experience in data center engineering or operations, with editing for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications or a related field preferred.
  • Fluency in Mandarin.
