Baker (R&D)

Location: Haw Par Villa

Position: Baker (R&D) Job ID: CK

Salary: Basic up to $3,800

5 days work week

Responsibilities:

· Daily preparation and production of cake and pastry products sample.

· Perform baking comparison test by incorporating emulsifiers into baked products.

· Creating new product prototypes and recipe formulation including tweaking the taste profiles of the food products as based on food taste test results / experimentation.

· Responsible for the conceptualization, development, testing and scaling of new recipes.

· To conduct sensory evaluation and approval of new products / recipes.

· Ensure good personal hygiene, proper sanitation and cleanliness of work area and kitchen tools.

· Decorating finished products.

· Assist in the modification and improvement of baking products to ensure it is relevant to the current needs of the target customer.

· Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

· Minimum Polytechnic Diploma

· 3 years' working experience in the cake bakery

· Passion for baking and positive attitude

· Create and innovative

· Highly motivated, customer-centric, and able to work independently

· Good communication skills

· Good interpersonal skills

· Possess knowledge of baking skills and techniques

· Maintain a good knowledge of industry trends and changes
