About our client
Our client, a world-class global investor across private and public markets, is looking for an investment banking associate with exceptional modelling and analytical skills to join their EMEA investment evaluation team. The focus of the role will be to provide an independent review of investment proposals and present findings to the investment committee. The right candidate will need to have broad exposure to M&A or leveraged finance transactions across sectors with a deep knowledge of financial modelling and due diligence practices. The role involves reviewing investment opportunities globally and requires being based in Singapore.
What the job involves
In cooperation with investment teams, the Senior Associate will:
- Provide the investment committee with an independent evaluation of proposals to invest in private and public investments across sectors
- Identify and understand key business drivers, due diligence items, valuation, and risks to provide a holistic assessment of investment proposals
- Actively participate in due diligence processes CDD / FDD & ESG
- Draft presentations summarising identified risks/issues and articulate findings to investment teams and investment committee members
Who we are looking for
- Degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, or a quantitative discipline
- Experience in private equity, M&A investment banking, leveraged finance, or in a transaction approval and evaluation role
- Strong financial modelling skills and detailed understanding of valuation methodologies
- Sharp grasp of business dynamics and key value drivers of target companies across all industries and geographies
- Commercially astute, with the ability to think critically and assess an investment proposal in its entirety
- High level of written and spoken English is essential
- Willingness to be based in Singapore
