Our client is a global MNC in the IT and Telecommunication industries and is seeking to add a Senior Field Marketing Manager with 8-10 years' experience in B2B technology marketing in the IT/telecom/tech sector to support its business growth in APAC. The role will be based in Singapore, reporting to the VP Global Marketing and via dotted line to the regional APAC Business leader.

The mission is twofold. Firstly, to play a proactive role as a key member of the regional APAC leadership team and ensure that the field marketing initiatives align with the APAC sales strategy and priorities. Secondly, to be a member of the global marketing leadership team to leverage corporate marketing initiatives within APAC and provide regional feedback to help shape those marketing programs and make them relevant for APAC markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Own the APAC field marketing plan from strategy to execution in line with objectives and allocated budget, as guided by marketing leadership and aligned with local sales/business leaders.
  • Manage the APAC specific field marketing budget to get best value and focus on tangible returns, in line with regional priorities.
  • Drive demand generation and brand awareness with target end customers and partners through marketing initiatives and campaigns, including but not limited to:
    • Events (live and virtual/online conferences & tradeshows)
    • Digital marketing (email, digital media platforms, digital advertising, social media) - working with the digital marketing team to ensure that global digital campaigns resonate in core APAC markets, as well as identifying and executing local digital campaigns via local media platforms.
    • Engagement with local press/media and influencers/analysts
    • Content creation and localization (video blogs, blog posts, case studies, web content etc)
    • Social media evangelist and spokesperson for local markets.
  • Engage with top tier channel partners in core APAC markets to drive co-marketing activities to generate leads and build brand.
  • Engage with strategic partners such as Microsoft and Genesys in core APAC markets to generate leads and build brand collaboratively.
  • Work with global marketing colleagues to leverage & regionalize global campaigns for APAC.
  • Engage closely with APAC sales to ensure that marketing leads are followed up effectively and quickly, to improve lead conversion to opportunity and wins.
Requirements:
  • University degree or professional qualification in marketing or business.
  • 8-10 years successful marketing experience in a B2B technology sector. Specific experience in unified communications, telecom, software, IT, managed services, SaaS and/or cloud technologies preferred.
  • Confident self-starter, able to engage comfortably with senior sales leaders and corporate colleagues to proactively drive marketing strategy and initiatives across APAC.
  • Able to demonstrate ability to execute as a sole resource - while supported by a HQ team of marcom and digital marketing experts, the APAC field marketing role is a single resource in region that needs to be very hands-on and proactive to execute locally.
  • Experience in B2B demand generation initiatives including via events, digital and partner marketing.
  • Strong oral/written communication skills, business led but comfortable with technology.
  • Experience in creating and delivering presentations to management, customers and partners.
  • Experience in executing marketing initiatives jointly with partners including channel partners as well as key technology partners such as Microsoft and Genesys.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft 365 applications - Teams, Sharepoint, Office 365.
  • Experience in using marketing automation and CRM tools. Experience in Hubspot, Salesforce and Outreach is ideal.
