Divemaster Intern / Retail Assistant (Permanent Position)

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: 39A Jalan Pemimpin, Halcyon Building #07-08, Singapore Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing Salary:

  • $500/month during 6-month training period
  • $1,800/month upon completion of Divemaster certification

  • Role Overview

This permanent hybrid role trains you from recreational diver to certified SSI Divemaster, while you work as a Retail Assistant supporting daily shop operations. You'll gain real industry experience while building a foundation for a professional dive career.

  • Key Responsibilities

Dive Training & Operations

  • Assist instructors during pool and open water sessions
  • Prepare, inspect, and maintain scuba equipment
  • Support logistics for local dives and overseas trips
  • Learn to supervise certified divers under instructor guidance
  • Uphold safety standards and professionalism at all times

Retail & Customer Service

  • Welcome customers and assist with gear selection
  • Manage retail displays, stock checks, and restocking
  • Handle payments, bookings, and rental equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting shop environment

General Duties

  • Assist with inventory and e-commerce fulfillment (Amazon, Lazada and Shopee)
  • Help with social media content or events where needed
  • Contribute to a positive, energetic team culture

  • Requirements

  • Passionate about diving and marine life

  • Friendly, proactive, and customer-oriented
  • Responsible, punctual, and committed
  • Able to work weekends and retail hours
  • Willing to learn and take direction
  • Preferred: SSI Advanced Adventurer (training can be provided)
