Restaurant Captain

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Captain to join our team at Chicken Hotpot (S) Pte Ltd, located in the Novena Central Region. As a fulltime Restaurant Captain, you will be responsible for leading and managing our front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervise and coordinate the dining room staff, ensuring efficient table service and a positive dining experience for our customers
2. Assist with scheduling, training and development of the waitstaff team
3. Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the dining room
4. Handle customer inquiries and address any concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner
5. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
6. Provide input on menu development and daily specials to drive sales and satisfy customer preferences
7. Maintain detailed records of daily operations, inventory and customer feedback

What we're looking for

1. At least 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain or equivalent supervisory role in the hospitality industry
2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
3. Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
4. Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control
5. Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
