Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in wound management incorporating tracking of wound progress; and assist in assessing, documentation and reporting of wound condition to Senior Staff Nurse in managing wound outcome.
- Pack, prepare and serve oral medication, topical application and subcutaneous injections.
- Assist the Senior Staff Nurse in nursing rounds of Medical Doctor and other Allied Health Professionals (AHP) including Dietitian and Speech Therapist by preparing the required document.
- Assist in arranging residents to attend medical appointments, such as scheduling appointments, assigning care staff to accompany residents and arranging transportation.
- Prepare and arrange dressing trolleys.
- Ensure medical supplies and consumables are sufficient.
- Tidy up the clinic including Treatment room and Medication room.
- Serving and feeding of residents on Nasogastric / PEG tube.
- Supervise and assist care staff in handling toileting needs such as bathing, transferring from bed to wheelchair and commode of residents.
- Perform daily bladder washout for residents with Indwelling catheter.
- Assist the Senior Staff Nurse to handle any emergency.
- Attend to emails, telephone calls and phone messages.
- Timely update in the Care Management System.
- To perform any other tasks assigned by Chief Nursing Officer.
- Able to work on three rotating shifts with night allowance/meals provided.
