Student Affairs Manager

We are looking for a committed Student Affairs Manager to complement our qualified workforce of educators.

**Purpose of Job**
The Student Affairs Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall student experience and ensuring a supportive and conducive learning environment for all students. The role requires leadership and strategic direction will be essential in fostering a positive campus culture and promoting the personal and academic development of students. Additionally, this role involves overseeing various student support services and collaborating with faculty, staff, and external partners to achieve the institution's educational objectives.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Student Support Services**
- Develop and manage a comprehensive range of student support services, including academic advising, counselling, health services, career guidance, and student organisations, to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
**Student Engagement and Activities**
- Facilitate and promote student engagement initiatives, social activities, and extracurricular programmes that enhance students' personal growth, leadership skills, and sense of community within the institution.
**Crisis Management and Intervention**
- Implement effective crisis management procedures to address student emergencies, mental health concerns, and other challenging situations. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide timely assistance and support.
**Student Conduct and Discipline**
- Oversee the development and enforcement of student conduct policies, ensuring a safe and respectful campus environment, and handling disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner.
**Diversity and Inclusion**
- Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a welcoming and inclusive campus for students from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect.
**Academic Success Programmes**
- Collaborate with academic departments to develop and implement programmes that enhance students' academic success, such as tutoring, study skills workshops, and academic support resources.
**Budget Management**
- Develop and manage the Student Affairs budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support various programmes and services.
**Data Analysis and Reporting**
- Utilise data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of student support programmes, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
**Student Feedback and Surveys**
- Implement student feedback mechanisms and surveys to gauge satisfaction levels and gather insights for continuous improvement.
**Collaboration and Communication**
- Foster strong working relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners to coordinate efforts in supporting student development and success.
**Additional Responsibilities**
- Liaise with HQ in terms of student affairs
- Data Analysis and Support
- Exam Board Reporting
- Mentorship of teachers
- Attends administration meetings and School Management Board meetings as requested
- Other duties as assigned
**NOTE**: The jobs specifications listed above are in addition to all school duties outlined in the job
description for teachers. As the supervisor within the department, it is expected that the Academic Manager would be a role model in carrying out the regular duties of a teacher. In addition, the post holder will perform other duties which may be reasonably assigned from time to time by the school Principal / Assistant Principal.
**Person Specification**
**Qualifications**
- A degree plus teaching qualification (or equivalent)
- Higher degree or recognised professional qualification (preferred)
- Evidence of continued relevant professional development
**Experience**
- At least 10 years' outstanding teaching and leadership experience in an international school setting
- Experience with the Cambridge/Singapore/other renowned international curriculum
- Demonstrates experience in inspiring students in a stimulating learning environment
- Demonstrates experience of using ICT to promote learning
- Has the ability to analyze student data to support student achievement
- Experience being previously a Vice Principal would be an added advantage
