Job Description

Conduct hydrographic surveys using advanced equipment like multibeam and single-beam echo sounders.

Collect and analyse data related to seabed topography, water levels, tide measurements, and current flows.

Process and interpret hydrographic data to create detailed charts and maps.
-
Collaborate with marine engineers, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders.
-
Operate and maintain survey vessels and equipment.
-
Ensure all surveys meet international standards and regulatory requirements.
-
Utilize GIS and other software for data visualization and analysis.
-
Provide technical reports and recommendations based on survey findings.
-
Supervise and train junior surveyors and technical staff.
-
Conduct pre- and post-dredge surveys for construction and maritime projects.
-
Monitor and assess the impacts of human activities on marine environments.
-
Prepare and present findings to clients and regulatory bodies.
-
Stay updated with advancements in hydrographic survey technology and methodologies.
-
Prepare multi beam hydrographic survey drawings.
-
Calculate dredging quantities.

Conduct joint multi beam hydrographic survey with clients and consultants.
Requirements
-
Proficient in operating the R2Sonic 2024 Multibeam Echo Sounder for multibeam echo sounding surveys.

Experienced in conducting patch tests to calibrate multibeam systems.

Skilled in using Trimble Applanix RTK for high-precision positioning.
-
Proficient in processing multibeam survey data using Qinsy Hydrographic Survey Software.
-
Capable of operating sound velocity profilers for water column velocity measurements.
-
Experienced in using Qimera software for multibeam data processing and analysis.
-
Familiar with AutoCAD; ability to use it is an added advantage.
-
Able to start work immediately or within short notice.
