As a Perfusionist, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Support patients' circulation and breathing through cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) during cardiac and related surgeries.
- Enable surgeons to operate on a non-beating, non-ventilating heart by providing artificial life support.
- Safely set up the CPB circuit on the Heart–Lung Machine.
- Assist in the controlled operation and monitoring of CPB in collaboration with cardiac surgeons and anesthetists (under supervision).
- Assemble extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) circuits as required.
- Initiate ECMO support and help manage patients maintained on ECMO (under supervision).
- Carry out additional perfusion-related tasks assigned by the supervising officer.
- Maintain adherence to safety standards and proper protocols during all perfusion procedures.
Requirements:
- Degree in Biological Science or Nursing
- At least 2 year of relevant work experiences
