A JOB ROLE

Assist development, implementation and evaluation of the S4K Tamil curriculum.  Provide in-house teacher training both local and overseas (upon request)

Programme Development

· Plan S4K Tamil curriculum based on the latest MOE's guidelines, international best practices and S4K's USP.

· Develop, enhance and write Tamil curriculum content writing for all levels, i.e. Pre-Nursery, Nursery, K1 & K2.

· Writes Tamil lesson plans and plans supporting resources for the implementation of the virtual modality platform.

· Upgrade and fine-tune curriculum upon feedback.

· Assist in the development and production of Tamil curriculum materials, including content and artwork.

· Assist in planning, developing and updating Tamil curriculum manuals periodically.

· Develop, enhance and write English core curriculum for assigned level(s).

· Support research and ad hoc projects when applicable.

Training and Operational Support

· Conduct in-house teacher training both locally and overseas.

· Develop in-house bite-sized training videos on our teachers' e-learning platform.

· Support centres' programme implementation.

· Assist in quarterly-yearly reports on the evaluation of programme implementation.

· Visit centres periodically and provide reports on curriculum implementation.

· Provide recommendations on improvement in teaching, resources and setting up learning corners.

3      SPARK Accreditation Complement Support

· Provide complementary support to direct centres in preparation for SPARK accreditation.

· Work with appointed coordinators in the centres to identify centres' needs in fulfilling professional requirements for SPARK accreditation.

B CHALLENGES AHEAD

· Ensure staff are well trained in delivering the Tamil curriculum to the children.

· Setting up centres within the allocated time.

C TARGET

Produce the termly curriculum materials a month before the centre setup or execution.

D QUALIFICATION

  • Possess at least Degree in Early Childhood Education or Degree in Early Childhood Education with Tamil Studies
  • At least 5 years EC experience.
