OUE Healthcare is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join the Sleep laboratory and clinic of our subsidiary group. The Sleep Technician will perform basic diagnostic and therapeutic testing for sleep disorders under the supervision of a Sleep Technologist, and provide essential administrative and patient support for the clinic's daytime operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management and patient preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care (Sleep Lab & Respiratory Clinic)
· Assist with basic laboratory-based diagnostic sleep studies
Help prepare and calibrate equipment
Assist in explaining procedures to patients and orienting them to the lab setting
Support Sleep Technologist in responding to patient needs during studies
Document routine observations under supervision
· Assist with portable diagnostic sleep studies and home sleep tests
Help prepare equipment and documents for handovers
Assist in orienting patients on how to set up home sleep test devices
Support Sleep Technologist in downloading acquired raw data
· Support therapeutic testing (Positive Airway Pressure) and mask fitting
- Assist with routine positive airway pressure (PAP) interface fitting
· Complete post-study procedure paperwork and general administrative duties as assigned.
· Assist in managing patients' appointment scheduling.
Clinic Operations and Administration
· Frontline Operations
- Perform patient registration, appointment scheduling, referral bookings, and cashiering duties when required.
· Patient & Enquiries Management
- Attend to walk-in patients, phone enquiries, and emails in a timely and professional manner.
· Patient Support
- Perform chaperon activities, assist in explaining procedures to patients.
· Maintain timely and accurate records of patients' information (procedures performed, and results) under supervision.
· Ensure proper management of drug inventory and maintenance of clinic facility for cleanliness and a positive image.
· Assist with the maintenance of medical equipment.
· Ensure compliance with established infection control practices/guidelines, patient confidentiality and data protection regulations.
· Adhere to SOPs and perform routine checks/audits within the clinic.
· Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned when required.
Requirements
· Minimum GCE 'N'/'O'/'A' Levels, NITEC or Diploma.
· Able to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays for sleep studies.
· Ability to multitask.
· Computer literate.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
· Good team player.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
