[LTA-P&C] PROGRAMME PLANNING [][What you will be working on]
The trainee will help to develop 2 AI bots for use.
The first AI bot will focus on summarizing programme data into a high-level schedule; represented in Gantt chart format. This will involve providing multiple examples to train the AI, ensuring that it returns consistent format. Our second AI bot will be designed to analyse site records of diaphragm wall construction and bored tunnelling works. This bot will be capable of answering user queries related to the performance of these works to offer valuable insights and enhancing efficiency.
Next is the development of an executive manpower-forecast dashboard for upcoming projects. This will involve consolidating upcoming and historical demands, designing management-friendly visuals, and producing a user guide.
Finally, the refinements and streamlining of work process related to progress reporting by mapping current workflows, coordinating stakeholders to clear data-update issues, and automating recurring tasks such as scheduled updates and report import/export. This includes exploring RPA (e.g., UiPath) to support daily operations, specifically between the in-house software and P6 database.

Additionally, the trainee should possess good Data & Business Intelligence (BI) fundamentals which shall include skills in MS Excel, such as proficiency with pivot tables and lookups, as well as a working knowledge of Power BI to create decision-ready visuals.
A strong learning mindset is crucial, as the trainee must be able to acquire new knowledge independently through experimentation, documenting findings, and iterating for desired outcomes.
Effective communication skills are also essential for this role. Familiarity with the rail or infrastructure domain and awareness of project management tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project would be advantageous.
