Job Description

Team Summary

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems, focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact projects with tangible financial results.

Visa Implementation Services (VIS) is a critical component of our VCA strategy, providing our clients with the execution muscle they require to deliver and implement strategic projects. VIS brings the 'best of Visa' to the clients, playing the role of orchestration layer between client teams and Visa subject matter experts (SMEs). As clients confront increased challenges in their operating environment whilst also facing capacity constraints and capability gaps, VIS helps to drive implementation or delivery of their strategic initiatives, facilitating significant and tangible value creation.

What a Senior Manager- Payments Technology does at Visa:

The Senior Manager – Payments Technology is responsible for leading and growing the role of VIS within the technology vertical at Visa Consulting and Analytics. In this role you will be working closely with our Issuing and Acceptance product teams as well as our Client Services teams to bring the best of Visa to clients as they look to implement new Visa products or execute large scale transformation projects in payments and payment adjacencies.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess technical leadership abilities as well as excel in stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • A Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. A master's degree would be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a bank or fintech within or related to consumer credit card products
  • Deep technical background and understanding of API interfaces
  • Understanding of card specific infrastructure and features such as the capabilities of issuer and acquirer processors, authentication systems, fraud decisioning systems, 3DS and incremental authorization
  • Knowledge of dispute management tools and processes
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with engineers, designers, system integrators and other external partners to build product at scale, align teams and enable delivery
  • Ability to understand customer pain points and communicating them to influence product and commercial decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify technical details for non-technical audiences
  • Experience in managing partner relationships and driving positive commercial outcome
