Woodlands, Singapore Vantive Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. Full time $40,000 - $80,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.     Comprehensive understanding of the extrusion process, the extruder and auxiliary equipment and machine operations.

2.     Works within the process and machine to perform diagnosis and remedies to produce quality products.

3.     Capable of performing or learning to startup and operate the extruder machine.

4.     Learn to prepare and verify material for production use.

5.     Perform cleaning and ensure machine cleanliness per 6S requirement, example: disposal of plastics scrap, etc.

6.     Setup extrusion line according to the assigned machine to run.

7.     Measure and examine extruded tubing to check for conformance to specifications and locate defects if any and adjust controls as necessary to improve.

8.     Ensure tubing are properly stored and / or packaged for downstream.

9.     Monitoring the production line for any potential issues or defects that arise.

10.  Taking over machine during break-time and disposing plastics scrap.

11.  Collect sample and perform measuring using measurement equipment and input data electronically.

12.  Proactively practice and adhere to EHS and relevant safety protocols, cGMP and other essential compliance procedures

13.  To take ownership of the equipment and tools during use.

14.  Updating of production records timely (Pitch Chart, OEE, MAR QDA & A&P).

15.  Support planned activities (e.g. quarterly cleaning, shut down).

16.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Education:

·     Minimally a NITEC (NTC / ITC) / Diploma or equivalent

·     Passed colour vision test.

Skill Set and/or Experience:

·       Experience in Extrusion process / Plastics Process knowledge is preferred.

·       Support planned activities (e.g. quarterly cleaning, shut down).

·       Basic computer literacy.

·       High level of organizational skills.

·       High sense of urgency. Escalate potential safety, process and/or quality issues.

·       Capacity to work independently as well as within a team-oriented and collaborative environment

·       Able to handle basic measuring instrument (e.g., vernier calipers, dial indicator, optical comparator)

·       Process and equipment troubleshooting skill.
